This microcredential program funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care meets mandatory food safety training requirements and is recognized by all health units in Ontario. It also provides insight into traditional Indigenous food practices, discusses the negative effects of colonialism on Indigenous food systems, food security and food sovereignty. Learners will be introduced to traditional contemporary Indigenous foods, as well as traditional food sourcing and preparation practices.
